Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Site Materials Manager to join them. Reporting to the Director of Quality & Business Excellence, the Site Materials Manager is responsible for sales & operation planning process, inventory governance, and planning procedures across the site.

You will be responsible for setting the strategic vision for the site planning and logistics organization. You will be expected to work onsite in East Aurora, NY.

To be considered for the Site Materials Manager role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Business discipline, with 5+ years of relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in an operations and/or manufacturing environment.

  • 7+ years of leadership experience, including demonstrated capability of:

    • Leading, developing and coaching high-performing teams of employees within a multi-level organization.

    • Leading through influence and partnering with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver tactical & strategic plans that achieve operational objectives.

    • Effectively leading through organizational changes.

  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a proven track record of enacting lean manufacturing strategies and implementing process improvements.

  • Apply critical thinking to analyze complex situations, identify key issues and develop innovative, practical solutions.

  • Strategic thinking with a proven ability to develop and execute innovative plans that drive measurable results and align with organizational goals.

  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines and budgets.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

  • CPIM or APICS certification preferred.

As a Site Materials Manager, you will:

  • Lead a team of direct reporting capacity planners, inventory analysis and logistics manager demonstrating Moog Culture and Values while working cross functionally with many functions (e.g. operations, engineers, human resources, cost accountants, lean, quality, supply chain, etc.).

  • Support the site in developing & deploying successful material planning and logistics strategies based on current load, future growth, and new product introduction, with a result of proper inventory management.

  • Develop and implement tools, processes, training aids, and standard work to drive continuous improvement within the materials and logistics functions for the site.

  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to align demand forecasts, supply plans, and business objectives, ensuring data-driven decision-making and seamless collaboration across departments.

  • Collaborate with Information Technology to enhance and optimize inventory dashboards, drive improved visibility, data accuracy, and actionable insights for decision-making.

  • Own and govern part parameter data within Moog business systems to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with engineering, supply chain, and operational requirements

  • Manage and execute weekly inventory governance processes to ensure operational performance, escalate issues effectively, and drive continuous improvement across all levels of the organization

  • Partner with group logistics to co-develop and execute strategic initiatives that support long term operational resilience for the site.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $130,000.00-$165,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
