As the Manager of Manufacturing Engineering for New Product Introduction (NPI), you will lead a team of engineers responsible for launching new products from concept through PPAP and safe launch containment. You will provide strategic direction, technical oversight, and cross-functional leadership to ensure robust, scalable, and high-quality manufacturing processes. Your role is critical in driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Lead and mentor NPI Manufacturing Engineers focused on new product launches, ensuring alignment with program timelines, quality standards, and cost targets. Oversee the execution of APQP processes, including FMEAs, Control Plans, Capability Studies, and PPAP submissions. Drive the application of lessons learned and risk mitigation strategies across all new programs, leveraging engineering judgment and historical data. Collaborate with Design Engineering, Program Management, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless product transitions from development to production. Facilitate and lead gate reviews, ensuring cross-functional readiness and launch excellence. Champion continuous improvement initiatives and innovation in manufacturing processes, tooling, and automation. Ensure compliance with internal and external standards including ISO-9001, and customer-specific requirements. Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and post-launch containment activities to maintain product integrity and performance.
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Ideally 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Proven expertise in APQP, PPAP, GD&T, FMEAs, Control Plans, and SPC. Strong understanding of quality systems, customer specifications, and regulatory standards. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $105,000.00 - $195,000.00
