Job Description

Temp to Potential Hire- Must be flexible in 1st and/or 2nd shift

Position Summary:

Performs various Non-Destructive testing such as , Florescent Penetrant Inspection and Pressure Testing and reporting.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Visual dimensional inspections and maintains accurate documentation on a variety of parts in accordance with ANSI Y 14-5 and certified operator program.
  • Provide assistance to other operators on proper operational procedures.
  • Perform 5S and other job related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Set up and conduct processes involving liquid penetrants and chemical etch inspection to detect, evaluate, and report on defects such as, porosity, cracks, and other discontinuities. NAS STD 410 and ASTME 1417.
  • Set up, adjust, and control electronic equipment such as ultraviolet devices to evaluate material contents, bonds, surface and sub-surface flows and discontinuities to the specification outlined by written procedure or verbal instruction.
  • Must apply basic math skills, read and interpret complex blue prints and geometric symbols to identify inspections requirements, and select proper measuring devices.
  • Visually and dimensionally inspect parts for conformance and take appropriate action to call out discrepancies.
  • Perform necessary part marking.
  • Generate and maintain all required logs and records as prescribed by customer or MIL Specs including lab reports, log books, non-conformance reports (NCRs), records, etc.
  • May be required to set-up and perform pressure testing on a variety of parts (SOP ATC 52-060-0000-00-082).
  • Maintain all required logs, documents, and records as required by the Certified Operator Program.
  • Move material within the cell.
  • Perform minor equipment maintenance.
  • Perform more than one operation at a time as directed by the supervisor.
  • Perform local etch prior to re-inspection, if needed.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities using strong organization and prioritization skills.
  • High degree of integrity.
  • Become a certified operator for Alloy Processing within 30 days of becoming active on the position.
  • Ability to read and write in the English language.
  • Ability to use measurement and other specialized inspection equipment.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing / processing environment preferred.

Required Experience:

2+ years of NDT Level II inspection experience or equivalent experience.

Level of Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Able to read and write in the English language

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $30.00 to $35.00 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 0 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
