As an Associate I, Molding & Tooling Production Operations supporting Molding Operations, you will be trusted to perform business support or clerical tasks related to operating molding tools and manufacturing machine tools with minimal supervision. You will conduct quality inspections, handle materials, operate automated equipment, and resolve minor issues and you may also engage in mold changes, collaborate with departments, and troubleshoot medical device molds at our Manufacturing Facility in Houston, TX!

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Perform business support or clerical tasks related to operating molding tools and equipment and/or manufacturing machine tools and fixtures with minimal supervision.

  • Conduct quality inspections using gauges and fixtures and monitor quality statistically to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Follow work instructions and Good Manufacturing Practice/Good Documentation Practice requirements.

  • Handle materials, operate automated equipment, and resolve minor issues as they arise.

  • Engage in mold changes, collaborate with various departments, and troubleshoot medical device molds.

  • Perform optical tool inspection, assembly, set-up, targeting, line clearance, mechanical and negative checks, changeover, and operate the solvent supply and disposal system for production and research.

  • Adhere to Good Practice regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training.

  • Commit to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements.

What You'll Bring to Alcon:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

  • 3 Years of Relevant Experience

  • Work Hours: B Shift (12 hours): Monday - Wednesday and alternating Thursdays, 4:45 PM - 4:45 AM CST

  • Location: Onsite

  • Travel Requirements:0 - 10%

  • Relocation Assistance:None

Preferred Qualifications:

  • People Leadership experience preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • SAP experience.
