Athletics Job Description

Essential Functions

75%

  • Assisting Head Athletic Trainers to provide medical coverage for athletic teams to include: Evaluate and manage the care of athletic injuries to determine practice or competition for athletes on intercollegiate teams. Provide emergency medical care for injured athletes on site. Coordinate rehabilitation programs, treatment protocols and triage athletes with physicians and/or health care professionals. Travel with intercollegiate teams to provide treatment and first aid.

10%

  • Assisting Head Athletic Trainers to coordinate and communicate treatment plans for athletes with Health Services and other medical providers.

15%

  • Provide coverage and treatment for club sport athletes.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate degree in a related Field

1-5 years of related experience in Athletics

Required Certifications: NATA BOC Certification
Required Licenses: MA State AT License
Knowledge of: Athletic training skills

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate degree in Athletic Training
