Overview

What responsibilities will I have in this role? (including but are not limited to):

As a Fire Protection Engineer at ENERCON, you'll help design and implement fire protection systems that ensure safety across a range of facilities and so much more. Ideal for early-career professionals (1-3 years of experience) with a degree in mechanical engineering or fire protection engineering, this role offers exciting design experience in crafting fire safety plans, engineering systems, and ensuring code compliance for our clients.

You'll support the design of fire protection strategies, review technical documentation, and solve big problems for our cleints. Working closely with senior engineers, you'll participate in data collection, apply industry codes and standards, and adapt to new tools and software.

Success in this role requires strong organization, a willingness to learn, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. You'll also gaining practical experience and building strong client relationships through professional communication and quality engineering solutions.

What qualifications/skills will help you be successful in this role?

  • Graduated with a bachelor's or master's degree from an ABET- accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors.
  • 1-3 years of experience with NFPA code is highly preferred.
  • Available to start in the next month.
  • Preferred Courses: Fire Protection, Sprinkler Systems.
  • A solid working foundation with your major's core concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
  • Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
  • Must be able to work outside.
  • Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
  • Completion of pre interview assessments.
