Summary: In this role, you will lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for the Spend Management Business Unit, with a focus on driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth. Key duties include overseeing product positioning, crafting compelling messaging, and managing integrated marketing campaigns that align with strategic revenue goals and emerging market opportunities. Additionally, this role plays a pivotal part in the creation and activation of cross-functional, enterprise-wide campaigns across Vizient. Responsibilities:
Understand market research and competitive analysis to inform effective marketing strategies for the business. Establish KPIs, leveraging data-driven insights to measure impact, optimize efforts, and continuously enhance marketing performance. Define the marketing contribution to the business unit's pipeline and revenue targets. Develop demand generation strategies that address the tangible needs of defined buying cohorts within ideal customer profiles, utilizing Vizient solutions that may span business units. Drive cost-efficient, high-impact integrated marketing campaigns and relationship-building initiatives to generate quality pipeline and enhance brand loyalty among a targeted group of healthcare system providers. Craft and deliver compelling value propositions and differentiated messaging to position solutions effectively in the market. Leverage market research and competitive insights to guide product development and shape strategic marketing efforts across the business unit. Provide sales plays that enhance sales' ability to source, accelerate, and close pipeline. Drive the creation of sales tools and solution-level training that empower our sales teams to succeed. Lead integrated marketing alignment between the business unit and central teams, managing lead flow and supporting both BU-specific and enterprise-wide initiatives to maximize demand generation and strategic impact. Enhance brand visibility through targeted messaging and content, while collaborating across functions to drive revenue and achieve go-to-market objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred; MBA or advanced degree strongly desired. 15 or more years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role. Proven success leading marketing strategy and execution for a business unit or portfolio of products in a B2B environment required; healthcare industry experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies that drive measurable growth and align with overall business objectives. Strong leadership presence with a track record of building, mentoring, and motivating high-performing marketing teams. Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product management, sales, corporate communications, and executive leadership. Expertise in integrated marketing planning, demand generation, brand development, and content strategy. Ability to translate complex value propositions into differentiated market messaging. Data-driven mindset with proficiency in using marketing analytics, customer insights, and market research to guide decisions. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to represent the business unit's perspective across internal and external audiences. Strong executive presence and influencing skills, with experience presenting to C-level stakeholders and boards. Demonstrated agility in managing change and navigating matrixed organizational structures. Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. Willingness to travel.
