Position Overview:We are looking for a customer-obsessed Manager, Digital Merchandising to support the optimization of our online product category experiences. In this key role on the digital team, you'll help shape how customers discover, evaluate, and interact with products-working across search, navigation, product detail pages, and product recommendations to improve the digital shopping experience.
You'll partner with cross-functional teams including UX, Product Owners, IT, Technical Content, Product Data, SEO, and Analytics to execute personalized, data-driven enhancements that improve product discovery, increase conversion, and support business growth. This role is ideal for someone who can synthesize data and information from across domains, from customer feedback to engineering to ecommerce, drive progress through testing and prototyping, and make decisions that move us forward in reducing friction in product selection and discovery. Responsibilities:

Customer-Centric Execution

  • Help represent the voice of the customer, especially technical and engineering audiences

  • Support development of KPIs and monitor performance related to product selection and customer satisfaction

Category Experience Optimization

  • Contribute to the strategy and execution of tailored category merchandising plans

  • Customize product presentation by category to ensure alignment with customer needs and product complexity

Search, Navigation & Discovery

  • Collaborate with UX and product teams to improve search relevance, filters, and category navigation

  • Assist in testing and implementing enhancements that reduce friction and improve product findability

  • Contribute to strategies around intelligent product sorting, localization, and search term mapping

Product Information Optimization

  • Work with PIM and digital asset teams to improve product data quality and completeness

  • Support initiatives that enhance cross-selling, up-selling, and product associations

Team Support & Collaboration

  • May supervise one or more digital merchandisers or coordinators, providing guidance and performance feedback

  • Contribute to a high-performance team culture focused on operational excellence and creative problem solving

Data-Informed Merchandising

  • Leverage analytics and customer insights to identify opportunities and measure improvements

  • Support A/B testing initiatives and help analyze test outcomes to drive category performance

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Serve as a day-to-day partner with IT, UX, SEO, product, and content teams to implement merchandising improvements

  • Help ensure cohesive execution across systems and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, or category experience optimization

  • Strong understanding of digital shopping behaviors and the online product discovery journey

  • Familiarity with site search, PIM systems, digital asset management, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Contentsquare)

  • Experience optimizing product categories or pages for conversion and discoverability

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams

  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and curiosity to test and learn

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in B2B eCommerce or merchandising for technical or engineering-focused customers

  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing and digital experimentation

  • Background in large-scale or omnichannel digital environments

Physical Requirements:
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen

  • Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body

Compensation:

The base pay range for this position is:

$90,000

to

$137,500

Many factors influence the determination of base pay within a range, including the candidate's work experience in related roles; the candidate's knowledge, skills, capabilities, and performance; the relative pay of other DigiKey employees in similar roles; and the budget available for the position.
