Job Profile Summary This role focuses on providing clinical neuropsychological assessment services to patients, primarily in the outpatient clinic of the Department of Psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center. Involvement in neuropsychology research is encouraged but not required. This is a professional individual contributor role that may direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs. Job Overview This position is for a highly trained professional who specializes in assessing for neuropsychological disorders. Conducts neuropsychological assessments, develops and communicates recommended interventions to help clients address their specific challenges. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals, maintains detailed client records, and stays current with advancements in neuropsychological research and related areas of knowledge. This position plays a critical role in promoting medical and mental health through assessment, diagnosis, and support. Job Description Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicants must hold a doctorate in clinical psychology and have completed an accredited postdoctoral neuropsychology fellowship.
- Eligible for psychologist licensure in Massachusetts, or hold a Massachusetts psychologist license
- Experience with performing neuropsychological assessments in adult populations (young adult through geriatric). Pediatric assessment experience is encouraged but not required.

- Provides clinical neuropsychological evaluation and treatment to clinic clients.
- Works with other community agencies, as time permits, to provide consultation, in-service education and assistance in the development of new referral sources.
- Provides liaison between the clinic and other area agencies, as well as medical providers within HHS, as needed.
- Completes all paperwork and documentation related to client records, statistics, billing, necessary reports and correspondence in a timely manner.
- Follows procedures related to patient flow, new case assignments, and other required patient contact.
- Provides expected number of visits per year as determined by clinic productivity standard.
- Participates in clinical supervision, consultation, and in-service training as assigned.
- Participates in department and center-wide meetings, contributing to professional growth of others and self, as well as to the needs of the clinic.
- Participates in community-based activities as requested.
- Participates in chart reviews and other process improvement efforts as requested.
- Provides back-up coverage as needed.
- Participates in special projects as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent sitting, occasional standing & walking, and lifting of 5-10 lbs.
- Requires manual dexterity using fine hand manipulation to operate computer keyboard.
- Requires ability to see computer screen and reports.
Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of neuropsychological and psychological theory and clinical practice.
- Strong neuropsychological assessment skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills needed for interacting effectively with patients, their families, and other professionals.
- Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess the needs of patients of all different age populations in order to provide care appropriately.
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness to address the diverse needs and backgrounds of patients.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and develop therapeutic alliances.
- Effective communication skills to explain complex medical concepts to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, including other psychologists and neuropsychologists, social workers, nurses, and other mental health professionals.
- Empathy, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to provide support and reassurance to individuals experiencing mental health and medical challenges.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other clinical documentation tools.
- Knowledge of community resources in mental healthand related areas.
