Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and help ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our automated manufacturing operations. This hands-on role involves the upkeep, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment. You'll work under general supervision and apply your expertise to minimize downtime, support production goals, and uphold a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair automated manufacturing equipment with a focus on minimizing downtime - Perform preventive maintenance tasks including disassembly, cleaning, inspection, and reassembly of mechanical systems - Analyze equipment error messages and consult with operators to diagnose faults - Repair electrical and control malfunctions (e.g. 3-phase motors, sensors, servos, timing systems, circuits) - Use testing devices such as voltmeters to inspect and diagnose issues - Reassemble and test machinery to confirm functionality after maintenance - Provide operational guidance and equipment care training to machine operators - Record labor and material use in a CMMS and manage work orders accurately - Follow and enforce safety protocols, compliance standards, and regulatory codes - Conduct routine building and grounds maintenance as needed - Assist with special assignments or other duties as directed by management Qualifications: - At least two years of experience working with automated manufacturing equipment (technical education may be considered in lieu of experience) - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including experience with PLC systems, safety devices, and interpreting technical drawings - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Familiarity with CMMS systems for managing maintenance tasks - Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (e.g., tape measure to 1/16") - Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, walking, standing, pulling, and working on elevated platforms - Comfortable working rotating shifts and overtime as needed - High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical training is a plus - Valid driver's license - Strong communication skills in English (Spanish fluency is a plus) - Professional, punctual, and safety-conscious beaverdamresumes@qpsemployment.com IND036 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
