Job Summary
The lead will provide excellent sales support to the sales team and agents to grow membership in the state of Michigan. Responsible for new business strategy, new group implementation and opportunity generation. Operates independently while handling more complex issues within the new business team and serves as Subject Matter Expert to agents and Sales Department, participating in project work specific to growing our membership.
Essential Functions
  • Serve as subject matter expert when interacting with peers to provide resolution of complex/escalated issues and to facilitate accurate and timely processing of benefits/opportunities and member/group setup.
  • This position is responsible for acquiring new employer groups 2 - 50 employees eligible through direct contact with insurance agents and community groups to ensure Priority Health achieves overall membership growth.
  • Assists and serves as a resource to the assigned agents and sales department to guide their questions and training needs. Contributes as a project lead within new business sales team for various ongoing process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures data accuracy during the new business process as it pertains to benefits, compliance, group information, agent information, etc.
  • Effectively educates members, agents, and employers on how the plan works, data requirements for request for proposals, benefits offered and how to enroll.
  • Updates internal databases, runs various reports, and completes/reviews legal documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Serves as an advocate for ongoing fixes and enhancements within PriorityQuote on behalf of the new business team.
Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's Degree
  • 5 years of relevant experience of related experience
  • 2 years of relevant experience with health care benefit plans (i.e. self-funded, fully-funded employer group, etc)
  • 2 years of relevant experience with servicing agents, employer groups, members, or similar populations
    • LIC-Michigan Health & Life Insurance License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Sales 90 Days required
