Responsibilities

Peraton has an opportunity for a Program Director to lead our military intelligence program(s) of record to deliver, operate and sustain modernized, transformed data science/ data analysis environments worldwide that enable speedy and precise decision making to warfighters.

Responsibilities:

The Program Director is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of advanced analytics, data integration, and intelligence solutions to government customers. This role requires expertise in program management, object-based intelligence (OBI), and advanced analytic methodologies, as well as a strong understanding of government standards and policies. This role will oversee all aspects of portfolio program execution, including planning, resource allocation, stakeholder engagement, and performance monitoring.

The Program Director is responsible for, but not limited to:

Program Leadership

    Lead successful technical, schedule, and cost performance of a major program, or multiple programs, through subordinate program/project managers, in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Acquiring follow-on business associated with areas of responsibility and support new business development, to include on contract growth.
  • Lead the program portfolio, ensuring alignment with customer objectives and mission requirements.
  • Develop and execute program plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with government policies, standards, and security requirements.
  • Manage and is responsible for all phases of program(s) budget.
  • Monitor contracts, subcontracts, and funding; prepare and manage forecasts for program financial performance.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government customers, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address program needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to customers and senior leadership on program status, performance, risk mitigation, opportunities and outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver required contracts, departmental, program, and financial reports.

Team Management

  • Manage multi-functional directorate within an Operating Unit, to include but not limited to data scientists, knowledge managers, technical editors, quality assurance, and computer scientists.
  • Foster collaborative and high-performing team environments, ensuring effective communication and coordination across roles and stakeholders, to include all relevant levels of customer engagement.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
  • Hire qualified personnel, assign staff, and provide technical direction as necessary to successfully complete milestones and deliverables.

Technical Oversight

  • Maintain assertive efforts to achieve objectives and mission success.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of advanced analytics, machine learning models, and data integration solutions.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and interoperability of OBI workflows and outputs.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to optimize data ingestion, storage, retrieval, and visualization processes.
  • Act as a technical liaison with vendors/ subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement Quality Assurance Programs for all products and services.

Performance Monitoring

  • Establish and track performance metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with tradecraft standards and best practices.
  • Implement corrective actions to address performance gaps and enhance program outcomes.

Knowledge Management

  • Develop and maintain a repository of program documentation, including workflows, ontologies, and analytic tradecraft standards.
  • Ensure proper version control, change management, and stakeholder review of program artifacts.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across the organization.

Training and Support

  • Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to educate stakeholders on program processes and applications.
  • Provide ongoing support to users, ensuring they understand and effectively utilize program tools and workflows.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Intelligence Studies, etc.).
  • Minimum of 16 years of applicable progressive program management experience, including personnel management experience, preferably in government or defense-related programs.
  • Understanding of object-based intelligence (OBI) principles, workflows, and tradecraft standards.
  • Experience with advanced analytics, machine learning, and data integration methodologies.
  • Proficiency in program management tools and techniques, including Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong people management, customer relationship management, and mission success experience.
  • Ability to build and lead high performing teams across functional and customer entities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with semantic web standards (e.g., RDF, OWL, SPARQL) and knowledge graph development.
  • Familiarity with government data standards and policies (e.g., IC, DoD).
  • Certifications in program management (e.g., PMP, SAFe Agilist).
  • Experience with cloud-native architecture(s) and tools (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Kubernetes).
  • Experience working in the customer environment is preferred.

Security Clearance:

This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a CI Poly, US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance.

Additional Notes:

Eligibility is a minimum of active TS/SCI with the ability to pass a CI Poly.

Target Salary Range

$176,000 - $282,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
