Position Title: Quality Technician Wage: $20.00 - $32.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:00am - 3:00pm Are your skills not being fully utilized? Reach your maximum potential by working with QPS! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Quality Technician at a company in Rockford, IL. This is a direct hire position for 1st shift. Apply now! Quality Technician Responsibilities: - Handle various product quality activities and examine production and semi-finished goods defects - Perform dimensional inspection on parts - Perform first piece, last piece and in-process inspection - Work with CMM, gauges, calipers and other measuring equipment to ensure the parts meet specifications - Work with machine operators and engineering to make blueprints and machine adjustments as needed - Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records Requirements for Quality Technician: - High School or GED equivalent - 2-3 years of experience in both quality assurance and quality control activities - At least three years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to CNC or machined parts, fabricated welded and/or sheet metal parts - Experience using Hexagon arms, Keyence, Zeiss CMM highly preferred - Able to pass micrometer and caliper test - Geometric dimensioning and tolerance (ASME Y14.5 - GD&T) skills - ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Technician preferred QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
