Position Title: Welder

Wage: $22.17-$24.58 per hour

Shift: 2nd (training on 1st)

Hours: 2:30pm-10:30pm (training is 6:30am-2:30pm)

Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Set-up and operate MIG welding machines, adjust machine and wire feed as required.

- Normally welding on 16 gauge to 10-gauge mild steel, attaching accessories and fittings or seam welding on parts.

- Work from layout marks, simple drawings.

- Use scale, square and power tools.

- Assemble and tack weld repetitive jobs, finish weld, tack welded assemblies, usually in down and or vertical position.

- Operate grinder to clean and shape weld.

- Conduct visual and dimensional check of own work.

- Support the company's 5S program in an effort to maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a neat, organized manner.

- Notify supervisor of material shortages or other concerns.

- Work safely in required PPE to manufacture a high-quality component of a transformer.

Welder Requirements:

- Prior welding experience.

- Ability to work evening or night shift

- Must be able to read, write and comprehend common vocabulary.

- Must be able to calculate basic math, including fractions, decimals and percentages.

- Must be able to read, interpret and work from blueprints, sketches, wiring diagrams, plans, layouts and/or templates.

- To move forward in the process, candidates will successfully complete: an application, welding knowledge & skill assessments, talent assessment, interview, drug and background screening.

- Resides within a reasonable commuting distance of Washington MO.

- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis; visa sponsorship is not available for these positions.
