A Principal FPGA Design Engineer job working remote from anywhere in the U.S. is currently available at Belcan. We are seeking a FPGA Design Engineer with extensive DO-160 experience. This is a PART TIME position working less than 30 hours per week.

This position is for an engineer with experience in the screening environments associated with the DO-160 guidance. This position will require the individual to witness the execution of environmental testing and ensure all QTP processes and procedures are being followed. Comprehensive reports to be developed after each screening test.

To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, and extensive experience with LRU testing. Experience in aerospace and defense projects is strongly preferred. In this role, you will be responsible for

Job Duties:
* Review FPGA design and verification artifacts for DO-160 compliance.
* Inspecting design documents, requirements, trace matrix, verification cases, verification scripts, etc
* Understanding the rigors and requirements of SOI audits
* Understanding and verifying correct tracing from requirements to artifacts
* End to end FPGA development cycle under the DO-254 design assurance guidelines
* Develop engineering reports identifying gaps in the design artifacts in their adherence to the planning documents
* Generate detailed RTL design model to meet program feature and performance requirements.
* Meet all the documentation needs of an aerospace development project
* Support program deliverables, meet schedule milestones.
* Coordinate and Direct other members on the team to complete verification effort.
* Interface with customer in providing status and addressing opens, queries.
* Serve and a consultant in solving design issues, root causing bugs and meeting

Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related discipline, advanced degree preferred.
* Ten plus years of experience of LRU Qual testing. Aerospace experience required.
* Extensive experience with documentation, test environments, report writing, QTPs
* Strong knowledge of industry standard design tools and methodologies
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Able to work part time, less than 30 hours per week
* Due to the nature of the work performed, U.S. Citizenship is a requirement.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $155,000 to $165,000 annually. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
