Loan Center Collection Specialist
The Loan Collection Specialist role will be responsible for performing early stage collections by investigating and pursuing resolution of exceptions on commercial loan customers managed within the BLC Account Management processes. This role's typical exceptions will require resolution including past due accounts and documentation exceptions. Also, this role operates according to the pre-established procedures including customer service standards and elevation of distressed situations.

Successful incumbents possess the ability to effectively manage multiple detailed tasks simultaneously; deep understanding of intradepartmental and interdepartmental relationships; strong sense of accountability for performing responsibilities in a timely and high-quality manner; highly collaborative work style and possess strong analytical, time management, verbal and written communication skills.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Contact customers for resolution of past due situations on multiple commercial loan products using professionalism and adhering to all applicable internal procedures.
  • Regularly update electronic file on status of accounts.
  • Process live/online payment/transactions as needed.
  • Comply with state and federal rules relating to debt collection practices.
  • Contact internal and external sources for resolution of documentation, past due taxes, insurance and other exceptions using professionalism and adhering to all applicable internal procedures.
  • Investigate to identify outstanding issues in order to implement appropriate methods of resolution.
  • Regularly act as back-up to lending assistants in department including answering phones, resolving client issues, processing forms and other administrative support. Perform other duties as assigned by management update electronic file on status of accounts.
Position Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of experience in collections
  • 1 year of experience working with Mainframe AFS loan accounting and HOGAN systems
  • 1 year of experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook
Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. This position includes onsite and remote work days. Salary: To Be Determined Based on Individual Experience
