Description

Ready to rock the world of network engineering? As our Network Engineer, you'll team up with our Senior Network Engineer to keep our enterprise's network and telephony environment in tip-top shape. You'll juggle help desk tickets, daily tasks, and exciting projects, all while collaborating with an awesome team. If you're flexible, a stellar communicator, and bring a positive vibe, we want you on board! This is an in-person role.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administer Cisco computer networks including hardware and configurations.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolving hardware and other network and system problems.
  • Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.
  • Monitoring network performance.
  • Work with end users about solving existing network issues.
  • Implementing new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks
  • Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, switches, and wireless environment.
  • Arrange scheduled upgrades of network equipment to the latest firmware releases.
  • Investigating faults in the network
  • Out of State travel required
  • Dependable and flexible when necessary.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology related field of study with a network engineering focus.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
  • Strong understanding of physical layer and cabling standards.
  • Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, and wireless environment.
  • Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
  • A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
