DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will provide complex clerical support for the Assistant District Executive for Maintenance (ADEM) and the members of the District Maintenance Division staff. This involves answering and routing telephone calls; greeting and assisting customers to obtain answers to questions or resolving problems; receiving, printing, and distributing incoming and outgoing correspondence in both hard copy and electronic formats; maintaining calendars, tickle files, subject files, and various electronic data base files. You will create initial drafts for Employee Performance Reviews and coordinate and reconcile Property Damage Release form received from Office of Chief Counsel; using SAP Plant Maintenance, analyze accident reporting information according to policy, verifying original invoiced amount of damages incurred, and reconcile providing ADEM signature (witness signature and/or notary signature) as required.
You will also receive and route correspondence from fax, US mail, and interoffice mail and coordinate and distribute Weekly County and Incident Command contact list, Monthly District and County Emergency contact lists, and District/County Organizational Charts. Additionally, you will attend staff meetings, type meeting minutes, proofread, format, and produce final copy of meeting minutes and additional memos, letters, and correspondence using correct grammar and format using agency Style Guide for accuracy and prepare correspondence for outgoing mail as needed and schedule group meetings, arrange for facilities and technical support equipment, coordinate attendees' schedules, and prepare and distributes agenda and information packets to meeting members; Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: Upon completion of the 6-month probation period, you may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
