Gundersen Health System is seeking a fulltime Certified Athletic Trainer to join our clinic team to support patients at our Onalaska, La Crosse, and Winona clinics. No experience required. New graduates are encouraged to apply!

What You'll Do:

As a Certified Athletic Trainer, you will work in our Onalaska, La Crosse, and Winona clinics supporting our Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine providers to provide patient care. Within scope of practice, you will be responsible for the triage of injuries incurred by patients/athletes providing clinical evaluation and diagnosis, immediate injury care, follow-up injury treatment, prevention education, and rehabilitative services including but not limited to brace fittings, crutch training, and development of personalized patient at-home exercise regimes. Our clinic team consists of 3 Athletic Trainers.

What's Available:

  • Fulltime, 72 hours biweekly (0.9 FTE)

  • Day shifts, Monday through Friday between 8a-4:30p. No weekends, holidays, or call

  • Typically will be scheduled 2 days in Onalaska, 2 days in La Crosse, and 1 day in Winona with some variability based on provider needs. Patient sessions average 20 minute in length

  • Starting pay of $23.41/hr and up, based on your years of experience, as well as applicable evening and weekend shift differentials

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Athletic Training or Sports Medicine

  • Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA-BOC)

  • Licensed Athletic Trainer - Wisconsin (LAT)

  • Minnesota Board of Medical Practice (BOMP) Athletic Trainer licensure

  • Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross

  • No experience required. New graduates are welcome to apply
