Responsibilities
The Legal Operations Manager will oversee the implementation, management, and support of legal technology platforms within the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker who can ensure that our legal technology platforms are effectively utilized, providing the necessary support to legal teams and enhancing overall operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal technology platforms, user support, and process optimization, as well as experience in managing and developing team members. Key responsibilities include:
- Platform Management: Oversee the administration and optimization of legal technology platforms, ensuring they meet the needs of the legal team and align with business objectives.
- User Support and Training: Provide comprehensive support to legal staff regarding platform usage, troubleshoot issues, and develop training programs to enhance user proficiency.
- Integration and Implementation: Collaborate with IT and other departments to facilitate the integration of legal technology platforms with existing systems and ensure smooth implementation of new tools.
- Process Optimization: Analyze platform workflows and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with platform vendors, overseeing service agreements, performance metrics, and support escalation processes.
- Data Management: Ensure data integrity and security within legal platforms, implementing best practices for data governance and compliance.
- Feedback and Enhancement: Gather user feedback on platform performance and functionality; work with vendors and internal teams to implement necessary enhancements.
- Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards to track platform usage, user engagement, and operational metrics.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of legal operations professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Employee Development: Identify skills gaps and provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their technical and professional capabilities.
- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance evaluations, set individual and team goals, and provide constructive feedback to support team members' career growth.
The position is classified as a hybrid role, meaning that the work arrangement calls for hours in the office and virtually. Everyone in a hybrid role is required to spend time in the office. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs. The selected candidate will be located at Corporate Headquarters in Bloomington, IL.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in legal operations or legal technology with a focus on platform services and user support.
- Strong knowledge of legal technology platforms (e.g., matter management systems, document management systems, etc.).
- Proven experience in managing and developing teams, with a focus on employee engagement and performance improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues and provide effective solutions.
- Proven experience in user training, support, and process optimization within a legal context.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and user engagement.
- Familiarity with data governance and compliance issues related to legal technology platforms.

- Potential starting salary range: $133,500.00 - $175,000.00
- Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
- High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
- Potential yearly incentive pay up to 24% of base salary
