Overview: Responsible for supervising and coordinating Rubber Plant blending operations at Pleasanton and various operations in the Bay. Ensures efficient workflow, scheduling, quality control, all maintenance activities and adherence to safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

* Supervise Crew: Direct and manage rubber blending crew, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to specifications.

* Quality Control: Monitor asphalt blending to ensure quality standards are met.

* Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

* Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Oversee the operation and maintenance of blending equipment.

* Project Coordination: Coordinate with plant managers and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines are met.

* Material Management: Track and manage asphalt materials inventory and deliveries.

* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain daily logs and reports on job progress, inventories,equipment usage, and incidents.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need:

* Experience in Asphalt Blending: Proven experience in asphalt blending operations and supervision.

* 5+ years in Rubberized Asphalt Blending/ Asphalt production or a related industry, with supervisory and/or mining/construction experience preferred. On-the-job or equivalent training required.

* Knowledge of industrial tools and ability to perform basic mechanical/electrical maintenance and repair.

* Supervisory Skills: Ability to lead and manage a team of workers effectively.

* Knowledge of Safety Regulations: Thorough understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.

* Equipment Operation Knowledge: Familiarity with asphalt blending equipment and its maintenance.

* Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with crew, managers, and stakeholders.

* Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the paving process.

Working Conditions:

Outdoor Work: Primarily outdoor work environment with exposure to weather conditions.

Physical Demands: Requires physical exertion, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Travel to Project Sites: May need to travel to various project sites within the Bay area.

Irregular Hours: May require working irregular hours, including nights and weekends, as project demands dictate.

Safety Equipment Required: Must use required safety equipment, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and work boots.

Salary. The salary is prescribed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Candidates will be placed according to union contract salary scale at $48.51 per hour. * Full benefits package including health insurance, a pension plan, paid vacation. * This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
