Psychologist Neuropsychologist Inova Fairfax Children's Multispecialty Developmental Pediatrics clinic is seeking a dedicated Pediatric Psychologist/ Neuropsychologist to join the team to complete developmental and neuropsychological evaluations. The psychologist administers, with support of psychometrist, assessment measures for children ages 18 mo to 21 yo, including intellectual, educational, personality, emotional/behavioral, and neuropsychological measures to assess for neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disabilities, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders. Evaluations are also conducted for children with complex medical and genetic syndromes (e.g., Down syndrome, Turners syndrome, Cerebral palsy). Writes comprehensive psychological evaluations, conducts interactive feedbacks with caregivers, and providers recommendations for supports in community and home setting. Provides supervision for psychometrists, training for medical residents, and has opportunities for supervision for advanced clinical psychology doctoral students in assessment. Opportunity to develop one clinic a week for short term treatment (individual, parent training or group therapy) around area of interest relevant to the developmental pediatrics clinic. Consults on multidisciplinary developmental pediatrics team and with providers across Inova on developmental disorders. Adjusts the treatment plan regularly, appropriately and as patients' status change. * Contributes to program educational efforts. Provides educational materials and community resource information to patients and families at their level of understanding and motivation. Minimum Qualifications: * Education: Doctorate Psychology * Experience: 1 year of clinical experience * Certification: Basic Life Support - Upon Start * Licensure: Clinical Psychologist - Upon start Preferred Qualifications: * Two years postdoctoral experience in assessment/ treatment of children and adolescence with developmental disorders. * One year experience in assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder * Bilingual preferred
