Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly motivated Director of Cybersecurity Technical Product Marketing to lead our go-to-market strategy, technical messaging, positioning, demonstrations and sales enablement for our cybersecurity portfolio. This leader will play a pivotal role in shaping how our solutions (specifically our Network Detection and Response (NDR) solution) are perceived in the market, driving demand, and equipping our sales and partner teams for success. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Sales Engineering, Enablement, Demand Generation, and Executive Leadership to define differentiated value propositions and build compelling campaigns and use cases that drive awareness, pipeline, and revenue growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Product Messaging & Positioning: Develop and maintain differentiated messaging frameworks for cybersecurity solutions that resonate with technical and executive buyers. A particular area of focus will be on our Network Detection and Response (NDR) solution.
- Product Demonstrations: Develop and maintain differentiated product demonstrations for our cybersecurity solutions that resonate with technical and executive buyers. A particular area of focus will be our Network Detection and Response (NDR) solution and integration with other cyber security solutions including EDR, Identity, SIEM/SOAR and XDR.st
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Assist with GTM plans for product launches, competitive campaigns, and strategic initiatives; align with sales and demand gen teams on execution.
- Sales Enablement: Create and deliver impactful technical content, sales tools, and training for the technical sales organization, including battle cards, technical solution briefs, demos, and customer decks.
- Market Intelligence: Lead competitive analysis, market research, and customer insights to guide positioning, content strategy, and roadmap influence.
- Thought Leadership: Partner with subject matter experts and analysts to produce thought leadership content such as whitepapers, blogs, webinars, and conference materials.
- Campaign Collaboration: Work closely with demand generation to develop content strategies and campaigns that convert across the funnel.
- Analyst Relations Support: Collaborate with AR teams to improve vendor rankings and support messaging in key industry reports.
Qualifications:
- 8-12+ years in B2B technical product marketing and/or sales engineering, with at least 10 years in cybersecurity, including specific experience with network and cloud architectures, network security, Network Detection and Response (NDR), packet-based detection, or threat hunting tools, SIEM/XDR platforms.
- Strong understanding and experience with key NDR concepts: network telemetry, full packet capture, DPI, metadata analytics, MITRE ATT&CK mapping, security operations and threat investigation and hunting workflows.
- Strong understanding of threat investigation and hunting workflows, especially using network metadata and packet analysis.
- Strong understanding of Splunk Enterprise Security and cybersecurity use cases.
- Proven success in leading GTM strategy and launching technical security products to enterprise buyers.
- Strong understanding of the cybersecurity landscape, buyer personas (CISOs, SOC analysts, architects), and competitive environment.
- Proven ability to align technical and business messaging to CISO, SOC, and architect personas.
- Excellent writing, communication, and storytelling skills with a strong portfolio of technical marketing assets.
- Experience with the cybersecurity analyst (e.g., IDC, Forrester, Gartner etc.)
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence without authority, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Certifications:
- CISSP or equivalent certification or knowledge is beneficial but not required.
