Job Summary: The Faculty in School of Behavior Health is responsible for education, research, and/or service. Demonstrates loyalty to the mission, policies, standards, and regulations of his/her department, school, and the University, and follows the administrative policies set up by the University and the individual school. Performs other duties as needed. The salaried rate of pay will be determined commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. Education and Experience: A master's degree or higher from an accredited institution in MFT or related. Doctoral degree in MFT (DMFT or PhD) preferred. Two or more years of professional clinical practice and/or classroom teaching experience. AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor Candidate preferred. Demonstrated experience in clinical leadership for a minimum of 2 years (i.e. team lead or director positions, AAMFT and/or state qualified supervisor, grant writing, program development, applied research initiatives) preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong systems-focused marriage and family therapy identity through active membership in the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). The ideal candidate will possess competence and experience in applied research methodologies, program development initiatives, and analytical skills for interpreting program outcome data to drive continuous program improvement and growth with a systems and MFT focus. This position requires a commitment to excellence in doctoral-level instruction, mentorship of developing academic and clinical leaders, applied researchers, and systemic supervisors. Preference is given to those with active contributions to the advancement of the marriage and family therapy profession through scholarship, service, and professional engagement within a systemic framework.Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations. Able to effectively communicate changes and instructions in a professional, effective and positive manner. Able speak in English with professional quality. Think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
Licensures and Certifications: Active LMFT license. Professional certification, licensure or registration as appropriate.
