The incumbent is responsible for supporting the quality system by documented procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
Reliability Program: Develop operating procedures and guidelines to establish best practices that shall be followed for future products and components. Assess existing field data and test lab capabilities, identify gaps and grow capabilities as needed to ensure that future products are robust and reliable. They should be able to accomplish after 90 days after training. Legacy Product Support: Conduct post market surveillance, evaluate and assess field data and conduct real-time aging of the product. Close the loop by tracking product reliability against predictions, updating the models as necessary. Support complaint/failure investigations and lead corrective and preventive actions associated with the quality management system. Address component obsolesces by helping identify replacement components and leading the qualification of replacement components. Design for Reliability: Work closely with design engineering to make recommendations and improve reliability through design (modeling, stress analysis, and implementation). Ensure reliability deliverables identified in the plans are complete per the project schedules.
Drive/establish reliability goals and conduct reliability predictions. Failure mode identification and testing. Develop and execute highly accelerated life test (HALT) and environmental stress screening programs. Work with component suppliers to ensure that components are qualified to operate reliably in their use environment over their expected service life.
