The Vice President of Product Management (PM) will define the PACS Products strategy and develop the roadmap and KPIs for its implementation. In this role the person would lead the team that will define the product portfolio spanning from access control door readers and credentials to a multi-tenant cloud platform, location services and apps for mobile access and remote device management. Based on your expertise, the voice of the customers and PACS business leaders input you will communicate its business value to the product team in a clear, concise way to ensure the team understands the purpose behind any new product or release. You will lead the product team and all aspects from the conception of the product to its launch. With your team you will define the Product Portfolio and it's commercial success over it's full life time.

You have a strong expertise in building PM strategy and ultimately executing on the product delivery for the Physical Access Control Solutions Global Business Unit. Furthermore in this role you will identify and interpret trends in technology as well as leverage the re-use and platform strategy within PACS. Your responsibilities include working with PACS business leaders, PACS global Engineering and regional teams to allocate budget, and build PM strategies. You will lead a global team of 40+ including both technologists, product managers/ owners across multiple locations. In this role you will build and leverage our technical depth in the PACS Organization to secure and advance our position in the market.

As our VP, Product Management, you'll support HID's successby:



  • Defining Product Management and product marketing global strategy, the blueprint and related execution plan with a strong focus on Mobile and Clouds.
  • Leading a global team of highly skilled and experienced product managers, innovation, location services and product/ business owners.
  • Setting department PM organization goals, aligning and leading resources to deliver products and solutions on time, on budget in accordance with Physical Access Control Solutions Business Unit business plan and strategy.
  • Driving re-use and economies of scale for products, technologies and platforms.
  • Applying data driven methods for prioritization and planning of requirements.
  • Partnering with PACS Leadership Team to understand and plan for future product release requirements.
  • Fostering team collaboration and alignment on ways of working according to SAFe.
  • Representing product management team in various leadership meetings, portfolio pulses and through relevant Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) practices.
  • Building, leading and coaching PACS PM team, collaborating, coordinating and influencing with BU and Mobile Marcom teams.
  • Interlocking with business area leadership to ensure agreement on priorities, adjusting as required by changing market conditions and emerging opportunities.
  • Providing reporting into global PM performance, ROI, and more.
  • Representing the company in professional association responsibilities and activities in local/industry functions and events.
  • Representing the PM in all Business internal and external meetings and have the ability to discuss and report on all aspects of the Business whether people related, financials, operational KPI's, sales forecasting, strategic planning, and acquisition integration.



YourExperienceand Background include:



  • Hold a BA or BS in related field. MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years+ of experience in Product Management and Marketing, with 9 years+ in the PACS industry.
  • Experience in lean and agile development methodology (ideally SAFe certified).
  • Solid leadership and management experience, including strategic thinking, innovation, coaching and mentoring, scaling and collaboration.
  • Experience in running a full P&L with demonstrable experience driving top and bottom-line objectives.
  • Understanding of market and competitive environment including deal activity and potential opportunities.
  • Good reasoning ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to work cross functionally and collaboratively to achieve desired business results.
  • This role is truly global so the ideal candidate should know and be familiar with mature and more emerging market realities.
  • Global mindset and culturally aware. Had the opportunity to work in a global environment.
  • Team player with cross-functional project leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated skills in positioning and differentiating products and services.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
