Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential job duties for this position are listed below:
- Works with "Internal Customers" in Production, Engineering, Warehouse and Purchasing.
- Supports "Internal Customers" through design requirements via SAP, Job Numbers, BOMs, Work Orders, Drawings, cut sheets, etc.
- Performs a variety of tasks and works under limited supervision. A certain degree of creativity and problem-solving is required.
- Sound knowledge of all aspects of warehouse functions, including receiving, stocking, replenishments, exceptional handling, and warehouse operations
- Receive incoming shipments of supplies from outside vendors; verify accuracy of items and quantities in relation to packing slip - specific to raw materials; Plate, Wide Flange, Pipe.
- Validate receipt of MTRs, Drawing, BOLs, & Packing Lists.
- Coordinate, assign, return & audit via SAP MIGO - Raw materials associated with Cut Shop or other areas as may be assigned - based on approved demand.
- Stage, Put-a-way, or Cross-dock Stock and Project stock inventory in warehouse shelves/bins or correct yard storage location - as assigned.
- Operate forklifts, stand-up lifts, and other warehouse equipment while maintaining safety standards at all times,
- Adjust storage space assignments to efficiently manage the daily flow of raw materials.
- Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for warehousing needs.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Performs a variety of tasks.
- Must adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Works under general supervision.
- Performs other functions/duties as required.
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of specific product knowledge.
- Experience with entry-level accounting and inventory software.
- Experience with MRP/ERP application (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to effectively share knowledge. An in-depth familiarity with inventory product mixes is vital for providing product expertise to customer(s).
- Must be a team player with integrity, interpersonal, organization, and time management skills.
- Must be able to work well under pressure and able to work independently.
- Ability to examine Production schedules, check inventory levels, and identify and communicate changes in the market or demand that may affect the availability or pricing of assigned materials categories.
- Ability to review compressor application and design, part drawings, and work with engineering preferred.
