Work Schedule
8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday with occasional evening and weekend hours required, as necessary.

This position may be eligible for a telework schedule once onboarding into position is complete and with supervisor approval.
Primary Purpose of Position
This position is responsible for supporting the training programs offered by LOD through facilitation, coordination, communication, administration, marketing, content management, and data analysis. The specialist acts as the program manager for indicated programs and its affiliated administrative duties. They conduct both in-person and virtual synchronous training sessions. They serve as a technical administrator in the LMS and assist with client engagement and technical support for the system.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

University Preferred Qualifications:

Graduation from a four-year college or university with at least one year of experience developing and conducting training programs in a corporate, non-profit, or educational institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Job Duties
This position is responsible for supporting the training programs offered by LOD through facilitation, coordination, communication, administration, marketing, content management, and data analysis. The specialist acts as the program manager for indicated programs and its affiliated administrative duties. They conduct both in-person and virtual synchronous training sessions. They serve as a technical administrator in the LMS and assist with client engagement and technical support for the system.

Essential job duties include:

  • Designs and develops training content for all training modalities.
  • Coordinates and facilitates in-person and virtual training sessions.
  • Acts as the program manager for various Learning and Organizational Development programs.
  • Assists as a Cornerstone Learning Management System administrator.
  • Coordinates training sessions schedule for the department.
  • Coordinates and hosts large meetings and events.
  • Calendar scheduling and time management.
  • Orders supplies and proactively manages inventory.
  • Demonstrates exceptional communication and customer service skills as the first point of contact and departmental representative.
  • Responds to routine and non-routine questions with a high degree of problem-solving skills.
  • Supports the planning, preparation, editing, and creation of departmental publications(e.g. reports and presentations).

Other Work Responsibilities

  • Compiles and analyzes data to include monitoring, reporting, and identifying trends.
  • Manages planning and logistics associated with training administration such as coordination and reservation of spaces, preparing participant materials, arranging catering, and taking the initiative to follow up as needed.
  • Assists with maintaining and updating the departmental website.
  • Serves as a first point of contact to receive, coordinate, disseminate, track progress, and ensure all service requests/inquiries are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Assists in establishing, implementing, editing, and continuously improving departmental processes, procedures, documents, communications, and publications.
  • Performs clerical functions such as mail processing, file management, and record retention standards, and data entry.
  • Assists with budget management and inventory maintenance.
  • Sets up and breaks down classrooms for workshops, and provide technical assistance/referral for facilitators, as needed.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

  • Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of experience in project or program management.
  • One (1) year of experience in coordinating larger meetings and events.
  • Two (2) years of experience delivering in-person and/or virtual training or education.
  • Instructional Design experience, including using systems such as Articulate 360 and Canva.
  • Experience with learning management systems such as Canvas, Percipio, or Cornerstone.
  • Experience designing and developing teaching and learning materials such as online content, presentation slides, handouts, job aids, etc.
  • Graphic Design and or multi-media development experience.
  • Marketing experience.
  • Experience managing budget/funds.
  • Experience working with subject matter experts.
  • Skilled user of Google Apps (Email, Calendar, Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Forms) and Microsoft Office Suite.
