Job Description: Within Airbus Customer Services, the Retrofit/Aftermarket teams propose multiple opportunities in Type Certificate and Supplemental Type Certificate setup for Cabin Modification Engineering, Systems/Avionics Engineering and Fleet Wide Customer Support Engineering. Develop aircraft modifications per project plan Manage program enablers and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery Manage all stakeholders for timely delivery of projects Oversight of subcontractors and associated cost and delivery Provide strong liaison support to internal and international departments Develop the retrofit solutions global architecture and retrofit engineering drawings Determine kits needed to support the retrofit design Develop aircraft certification plan and supports the certification process Support onsite modification team and answers/resolves queries during and after Service Bulletin embodiment and kit delivery Retrofit engineering drawings with a focus on speed, quality, and cost. Determining the kits needed to support the retrofit design. Develop aircraft modifications per project plan. Develop and manage program enablers and ensure their timely and high quality delivery. Stakeholder management to ensure timely delivery of engineering projects. Provide strong liaison support to other departments both internally and internationally. Develop the aircraft certification plan. Support the certification process as required. Support the onsite modification team as required including direct onsite support at customer or MRO facility. Answer/resolve queries during and after Service Bulletin embodiment and kit delivery.
Your boarding pass:
Bachelor's Degree-Engineering: (Mechanical Engineering/Aeronautic Engineering/Electrical Engineering) 9+ years of Aircraft related Engineering experience. Experience in project or program engineering Ability to effectively present information Authorized to work in the US.
Preferred experience:
Airline / MRO experience desired Experience with Google Suite Products Python or other programming language experience
Physical Requirements:
Onsite or remote: Onsite 100% Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site.
