Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The UNC Adams School of Dentistry Office of Academic Affairs oversees the various educational programs offered through the School and supports academic excellence. The Office of Academic Affairs staff members often participate in the admissions process and implement curriculum reviews and accreditation.The Office of Academic Affairs offers pre-admission evaluations for prospective DDS students, assists current students with any number of issues, and advocates for the student body to ensure needs are met.
Position Summary
The Instructional Design Specialist will be responsible for obtaining lesson plans for basecamp; providing basecamp support for Block 1 including assisting with communication skills and infection control assessment; assisting with Syllabi for the DDS2 Spring semester.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent educational or instructional activities related to consulting or developing course content, curriculum, instructional technique/technology, distance education design, development or implementation, will accept a relevant Bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and 3 or more years of relevant experience in substitution.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience in health sciences education.
