Job Description

We are seeking a strategic Internal Communications Specialist to join our growing team. Reporting to the Engagement & Development Manager, this role will take ownership of EBAD's internal communications strategy-playing a key part in shaping the employee experience and driving alignment with our mission, values, and business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead internal communications by designing and executing a company-wide strategy that informs, connects, and motivates employees at all levels.
• Craft compelling, audience-focused content for a variety of platforms including newsletters, intranet, email campaigns, leadership presentations, and video messages.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to amplify key initiatives such as business updates, cultural milestones, DEI programs, safety campaigns, and employee recognition efforts.
• Manage and optimize internal communications channels, including digital signage, intranet platforms, and collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams.
• Bring events to life-support the planning, coordination, and content development for virtual and in-person events like all-hands meetings, leadership town halls, and internal celebrations.
• Measure what matters-use analytics, surveys, and employee feedback to assess effectiveness and continuously refine communication strategies.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, helping them effectively deliver messages that reinforce transparency, trust, and engagement across the business.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in internal communications, employee engagement, or corporate communications. (Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or defense industries is a plus.)
• Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
• Proven success managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Technical fluency with communication and design tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Canva, and video editing platforms.
• Strong relationship-building skills with experience working across departments and with senior leaders.
• A strategic mindset, grounded in empathy and creativity, with the ability to simplify complex information into clear, engaging content.
