We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a IT Software Engineer Intern on our Information Technology team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

System Development

  • Document Existing Systems:
  • Analyze and document legacy PowerApps and PowerAutomate workflows and forms to support system migration and historical reference.

Migrate and Reengineer Workflows:

  • Redesign and transition PowerApps/PowerAutomate systems to ServiceNow, ensuring improved automation, efficiency, and scalability.

ServiceNow Development & Automation:

  • Develop new ServiceNow workflows using Flow Designer, Business Rules, and IntegrationHub to automate ITSM processes.
  • Ensure workflows align with business needs and ServiceNow best practices.

Reporting and Dashboard Creation:

  • Design and maintain ServiceNow dashboards, reports, and performance analytics to improve visibility into ITSM operations.
  • Provide actionable insights through data visualization and reporting.

System Maintenance

  • Provide System Support:
  • Provide operational system support for ServiceNow and PowerApps/Power Automate environments in collaboration with the designated manager.
  • Participate in "break-fix" issue resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve break-fix issues, including system errors, workflow failures, and user access problems.
  • Assist end-users with issue validation and resolution, ensuring proper troubleshooting steps and communication.
  • Work within established ITSM processes and SLAs to ensure timely resolution of incidents.
  • Document recurring issues and recommend proactive solutions to improve system stability.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Working towards BS or BA degree in Information Technology or related field.
  2. Experience with .ASP.NET MVC, C#, html, and CSS a plus.
  3. Experience working Sharepoint technologies such as Microsoft PowerApps and Microsoft PowerAutomate a plus.
  4. Experience with IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow a plus.
  5. Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience and varying levels within the organization.
  6. Ability to work effectively within a team while being considerate with other team members required.
  7. Ability to manage time effectively.
  8. Ability to express technical concepts effectively verbally and in writing.
  9. Familiarity with Test Driven Development and proficiency in unit and functional testing
  10. Ability to work well within a team of software engineers on project tasks.

This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $18.50-$24.50. This is the lowest to highest salary we believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to business consideration, geographical location, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
