GENERAL SUMMARY

The Municipal Sales Manager is responsible for the supervision and training of the inside Municipal Technical Sales team for all DeZURIK products. This role will create, define, and implement an efficient and effective sales process utilizing new and existing technology and business intelligence. The Municipal Sales Manager also includes providing daily inside sales support to Sales Representatives and other departments.

This position is currently eligible for DeZURIK's hybrid work schedule.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Coordinates daily technical sales support activity for the municipal market; accomplished by providing support to Technical Sales personnel, DeZURIK Representatives, Municipal Sales Managers, Director of Municipal Sales, and Vice President of Municipal Sales.
  • Maintain project tracking system capability and activity to integrate with Project Bid Team.
  • Demonstrate results driven leadership and a "forward thinking" approach to inside sales support while expanding capability of the inside sales team. This includes being the liaison between other departments to promote efficient processes and communication.
  • Support and provide technical insight and product application solutions to all DeZURIK Municipal Sales Personnel and Municipal Sales Representatives.
  • Lead the Team to investigate and provide cost competitive options/solutions for special and standard priced products (actuation, special fabrications, accessories, etc.).
  • Implement time management processes to efficiently meet project deadlines and time sensitive requirements.
  • Lead the Team to provide customer support by responding to inquiries about technical products, product applications, technical solutions, special pricing, and product suggestions.
  • Support and contribute to the advancement of the Technical Sales team by increasing their technical skills and competence levels.
  • Prepare certifications per customer requirements for product compliance as required.
  • Organize and lead training for employees, Sales Rep's and Customers as assigned.
  • Provides support for achievement of bookings goals as assigned by Municipal Sales Director.
  • Complete performance appraisals and conduct skill advancement review meetings.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years technical experience.
  • Supervisory/ Project Management experience.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with people at all levels of business.
  • Decision-making abilities for preparing special pricing and assisting sales staff's with questions.
  • Basic computer skills for preparing spread sheets.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical demands are typical of an office position including extended periods of sitting, and extensive use of a personal computer and telephone.
  • Position requires movement around the facilities.
  • Occasional handling of material and components.
  • Travel up to 15%.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots). Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

DeZURIK offers a competitive base salary in the $95,826 to $119,782 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
