Your Role at Baxter

Senior Project Leaders in this role are responsible for leading cross-functional teams in the New Product Development (NPD) effort to bring new and innovative products from concept to commercialization. You will work closely with the product development team to ensure that the work progresses on schedule, within budget, and to the desired level of quality. Additionally, you will serve as a coach and mentor to our team - helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that the team is meeting its objectives consistently. This role will apply Project Management best practice knowledge, tools, methodologies and techniques to meet or surpass the needs and expectations of all stakeholders.

What You'll be Doing

  • Establish and lead a multidisciplinary team, potentially in globally distributed locations, in the development of new and innovative products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to create and execute Project Plans in accordance with established New Product Development polices and processes.
  • Assign tasks, responsibilities, and accountability to team members to achieve Project and Product goals.
  • Facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum Processes within assigned projects such as daily stand ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives.
  • Responsible for achieving product quality goals, time-to-market objectives, and meeting product and project cost targets.
  • Manage labor, expense, and capital expenditures to multi-million dollar project budgets.
  • Monitor Project and Product status and commitments and ensure appropriate Change Management techniques are utilized to assess and address identified variances.
  • Perform holistic assessments of changes in scope.
  • Engage Senior Management and other stakeholders to communicate project status, risks and escalations.

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated Project Management skills including project scheduling, resource allocation and management, risk management, project finances, and partner / contract management.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum principles and practices. And Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve challenging goals.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changing process and business needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to promote team interaction and execution.
  • Strong business acumen and experience of driving organizational awareness.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills to enable stakeholder engagement and partnership.
  • Effective computer skills (Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, DevOps).
  • 5+ years of experience; with experience as a new product development leader of multidisciplinary teams and partner / contract management is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred; with experience in at least one of electronics, optics, injection molded plastics, software, requirements definition, or testing preferred.
  • Applied knowledge of FDA and international medical device regulations or experience with other highly regulated industry.
  • Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM); Project Management certification (PMP), preferred.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a salary range of $104,000 to $143,000 and also includes an annual incentive bonus. The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
