About the Role

Culmen International is looking for a Senior Biomarker Repository Technician to support a USAMRIID program at Fort Detrick, MD.

The Senior Biomarker Repository Technician handles biospecimen inventory, processing, and logistics for large-scale biomarker studies supporting diagnostics and therapeutic development.



What You'll Do in Your New Role

    Maintain electronic sample tracking and inventory systems.
  • Process, aliquot, and store blood and tissue samples.
  • Coordinate shipments and chain-of-custody documentation.
  • Monitor storage conditions and backup systems.
  • Support biobank QA/QC and audit readiness.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, lab science, or related field.
  • 5+ years in laboratory sample processing and management.
  • Familiarity with LIMS and inventory control systems.
  • Knowledge of biospecimen best practices and handling.
  • Meticulous recordkeeping and procedural compliance.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests under deadlines.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required.


Desired Qualifications

  • Certification in biorepository management preferred.
