Join our team as the Director, Strategy Communications and play a pivotal role in shaping our communication strategies! Under the guidance of the Senior Director, you will lead the planning and execution of impactful communications that drive the success of our Commercial and Business Group teams. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of initiatives, including operations, customer engagement, and internal communications, all aimed at achieving our annual and long-term goals. - In collaboration with internal business partners and stakeholders, lead the production and annual rollout of Cencora's long-term strategy and priorities to global team members.
- Formulate and execute an integrated internal communications plan for the Strategy Enablement Team (SET) based on team objectives, Cencora's purpose, and enterprise priorities.
- Develop and create effective copy and material for a variety of distribution sources (intranet, leader communications, newsletters, organizational town halls, etc.) to drive enablement and engagement in support of organizational goals.
- Assist in the development and creation of a communications dashboard to be delivered quarterly.
- Establish internal communications governance and serve as a subject matter expert and central contact for all internal communications for the SET, ensuring standards and consistency of voice for the target audience(s).
- Provide proactive support and serve as a trusted advisor to the SET senior leadership team on internal communications issues; collaborate with HR, Marketing, Operations, Sales, Communications colleagues, and other teams on key business unit initiatives.
- Manage and provide long-term strategy for all internal communication channels by regularly reviewing the effectiveness of our tools; propose new and efficient mediums of communication as required.
- Define and manage distribution lists and process for employee communications, establish and manage approval processes.
- Work with relevant Cencora teams to ensure messaging alignment.
- Analyze engagement and pulse survey results to inform communications strategy to drive deeper team member engagement.
- Utilize internal communications best practices to support change management and employee engagement initiatives.
- Engage senior leaders strategically, professionally, and with confidence.
Requirements: Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, communications, marketing, strategy or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year Bachelor's Degree Program. Normally requires a minimum of eight (8) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.
- Strong communicator with strategic communications and/or marketing communications experience, business acumen, and excellent writing ability, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders.
- Seasoned communications professionals with experience driving organizational communications for business-related programs.
- Able to translate complex content into "understandable" messaging.
- Strong collaboration skills and superior and time management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities with competing deadlines
- Not afraid to innovate and propose new ideas; ability to identify process improvements and develop a plan to implement the necessary changes.
- Manage swift delivery and turnaround of deliverables and follow up.
- Deep commitment to internal customer service, a consultative approach to communications, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Experienced facilitator, skilled at identifying requirements, key messages, key stakeholders, and developing the approach to effectively share information within the department as well as across the organization.
- Ability to execute as an individual contributor with limited oversight.
- Experienced at designing, tracking, and managing new and existing communications vehicles; skilled in editorial planning, content management, digital asset management and development
- Maintains confidentiality and displays discretion, especially as you'll likely be exposed to information ahead of the rest of the broader organization.
- High degree of technical knowledge of principles in communications, marketing and project management
- Ability to understand and strategically interpret business unit goals into messaging and provide senior leadership guidance on organizational effectiveness and customer experience
- Working knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution business
- Tactical agility and consultative approach to problem solving with a bias toward delivery and results
- Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior level executives
- Must be highly resourceful, self-motivated, and adaptive to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Meticulous detail orientation, with excellent follow through and follow up
- Ability to identify and proactively manage risks to the successful execution of business short- and long-term strategy
