Business Deposit Services- Title and Escrow Officer, Vice President
This position within Business Deposit Services is responsible for new business development of corporate escrow and specialty industry deposits, cross-sell of Treasury Management and other bank products, and relationship management for an assigned portfolio of mature client relationships. Business Deposit Services includes customers within Title Escrow, Corporate Escrow, 1031 Exchange, Taft Hartley Labor Management (Unions), Financial Institutions (correspondent banking), Municipal, Non Profit and Third Party Processing sectors.

Proactive calling and reactive client service are key aspects of this position with the focus on delivering a high quality customer experience.
Position Responsibilities
  • Increase the Bank's deposits, fee income, profitability and cross-sell efforts through the sales of 1031 exchange services, corporate escrow services and business banking accounts to prospects and assigned client list.
  • Increase the Bank's profitability by cultivating new business relationships particularly in Specialty Industry Deposit segment.
  • Act in the capacity of Escrow Officer for 1031 exchange and corporate escrow accounts, for all stages of the escrow/1031 exchange sale and life of the escrowed funds. This includes being an escrow account signer for disbursement or other approvals.
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships, new business and periodic review of existing account structure.
  • Generate leads and qualified referrals to other business units like business banking, personal banking, wealth management, treasury management, or other specialty businesses.
  • Maintain knowledge of accounting and financial principles, marketing and sales principals, regulatory and other related principles to the corporate escrow, Taft-Hartley (labor management), or other BDS specialty business sectors.
This position is expected to have a universal BDS portfolio of clients and prospects in the following segments:
  • National 1031 Exchange -- 40%
  • Corporate Escrow -- 40%
  • Specialty Industry Deposits -- 20%. As warranted, crossover with other BDS units may also occur
Relocation
Relocation assistance is not provided for this position
Travel
Travel may be required 10% to 20% of time
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university
  • 3 years commercial banking and or trust sales and client calling experience
  • 3 years managing a portfolio of clients
  • 3 years working with and coordinating client legal agreements
  • 2 years RFP response and presentation experience to direct clients, board of directors or other decision makers
