The Accounting Operations Manager is a results-driven individual who collaborates and supports the accounting team in efforts to drive departmental efficiencies and effectiveness to a best-in-class level. This role will work with the accounting operations team to discover inefficiencies in business processes and then determine the best ways to bring business methods in line with the organization's goals.

What you will do:

  • Manage the development of finance and accounting project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
  • Support and manage key areas of acquisition process across accounting departments.
  • Manage the governance process to execute projects and deliver on goals
  • Support the accounting operations team to ensure all projects are delivered timely, within scope and within budget.
  • Build strong relationships across the finance ecosystem to understand current state and assist in the development of recommendations for improved operations.
  • Manage continuous improvement projects in the delivery of accounting services in order to meet the needs of the accounting department.
  • Manage and participate in the effective implementation and communication of accounting programs, providing visibility of key milestones and progress.
  • Exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills to ensure flow of information up and down the chain of authority.
  • Work collaboratively with department management to ensure performance goals are attained and met.
  • Align with and contribute to department efforts to deploy, adopt and utilize available technology tools to increase the department's effectiveness and efficiencies
  • Act as a point of contact for questions and concerns regarding processes and project status
  • Exhibit effective time management and organizational skills.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • CPA license and relevant master's degree preferred
  • Strong analytical problem solving and decision making skills required
  • Ability to build relationships internally as well as externally
  • Excellent communication, including strong presentation skills

What will set you apart:

  • 7+ years of operations, process and accounting and/or finance experience strongly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a highly collaborative business environment
  • Project/process management experience
  • Experience with accounting department operations and technologies, including but not limited to: financial reporting, financial planning and analysis and general ledger systems (SAP)
  • Possession of a continuous improvement mindset and approach
  • Ability to coordinate and manage cross-functional projects
  • Strong consultative and solution oriented mindset, treating everyone as a preferred customer
  • Organizationally savvy and diplomatic, understanding culture, climate and ways of working across an organization; ability to read people and navigate relationships
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, risk, and changing direction of projects
  • Creative and critical thinker and problem solver who is not afraid to challenge status quo
  • Ability to support business results through strategic thinking, effective and creative problem solving skills and diverse views

Base Salary Range

$98,900.00 - $139,700.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
