Job Description

Danfoss is currently hiring Shipping and Receiving Clerk - 3rd Shift in our Van Wert, OH location.The Shipping/Receiving Clerk will performa wide range of procedures following standard instructions to complete shipping papers, pack, label, address, and load on appropriately selected method of shipping.

Employees will be expected to actively support and strive to meet the strategic goals set by yourself, the facility, and Danfoss Power Solutions.

*New Hires may be required to train on the 1st Shift which may take several weeks depending on the position and how quickly someone can meet the Individual Training Standards before being permanently assigned FT to this shift.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.




  • Receive raw materials and other purchased goods, review packing slip for proper quantities and submit for proper documentation processing.





  • Deliver goods to proper locations after completion of the receiving process. Operate various workstations to process outbound shipments. Complete all required transactions in SAP.





  • Complete shipping papers correctly, including export documents. Recognize unusual conditions and report to appropriate Supervisor and/or Lead.





  • Operate forklift, load, and unload trucks for best methods of shipment. Become cross trained to perform many types of tasks. May be required to perform other duties as required by Supervisor.





  • Must practice excellent housekeeping skills and maintain equipment. Adhere to all Safety procedures.

  • Computer literacy, including usage of internet and MS Office Excel and Word.
  • Functional knowledge, or ability to acquire, of SAP, which will include, as a minimum, the following Receiving functions:


    • Process receipts
    • Creation Routers, Receivers, Work Orders
    • Process ASN's
    • Adjust discrepancies
    • Process P.O.'s




  • Become backup to either the Receiving Desk
  • Interface with ALL Departments to create an environment that builds partnerships and problem resolution
  • Initiate and support containment of discrepant material or non-conforming parts that are to be received.
