The Faculty Coordinator will:
  1. Coordinate all HMS appointments, reappointments and promotions processes for all faculty and trainees in the Department of Pediatrics
  2. Organize the Committee on Academic Appointments and Promotions and the Pediatrics Executive Committee. Set agenda's, review meetings minutes, track progress and communicate with committee members and division coordinators with updates.
  3. Review and enter all Fellows, Lecturers, Member of the Faculty, Visiting, Associate and Instructor packets into the HMS Peoplesoft system. Ensure for accuracy. Advise division coordinators for when updates or corrections are needed.
  4. Compile new appointment and promotion submissions to HMS Faculty Affairs for ladder track appointments.
  5. Be a department liaison to the HMS Faculty Affairs Office and the Academic Appointment Office.
  6. Prepare HMS's annual RAAP and TRAAP, HMS reports, and provide supporting documentation.
  7. Respond to inquiries and information requests from both within the hospital and outside the hospital.
  8. Supply data for the Department's Annual Report.
  9. Serve as the Search Administrator for the Department of Pediatrics.
  10. Prepare communications for Department Chair, Division Chiefs, promotees and other leaders on the approval and status of promotions.

To qualify you should have:

  1. Bachelor's degree required and Master's degree preferred.
  2. Four years of related experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
  3. 2 years of health care administrative experience.
  4. Hospital or Academic credentialing experience preferred.
  5. Analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
