Postdoctoral Associate

Job Summary

The Postdoctoral Associate will conduct research at the post-doctoral level into the control, fluid mechanics, and development of biorobotic UUVs that work with and take advantage of flow.

Essential Functions

• Numerical modeling using COMSOL and MATLAB.
• Planning and execution of experiments using UUVs in the field.
• Technical writing.
• Teaching engineering.
• Electronics and mechanical fabrication.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of PhD or Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in bio-robotics and numerical modeling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good communication skills (oral and written).

Additional Information
This position is classified as Exempt, grade K. Compensation for this grade ranges from $54,630 to $81,940 per year. Please note that the offered rate for this position typically aligns with the minimum to midrange of this grade, but it can vary based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
