MSG Bartender Lead Part Time

Mason Street Grill, an award-winning upscale neighborhood restaurant, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Bartender to join our team. This full-time position plays a key role in supporting the Restaurant Manager in daily bar operations while ensuring exceptional service for our valued guests. The Lead Bartender is responsible for supervising bar staff, managing inventory, creating innovative cocktails, and maintaining a high standard of quality and hospitality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Perform all beverage service duties, including bartending and cocktail service.

* Supervise bar staff in the absence of the Restaurant Manager while upholding service standards.

* Oversee bar closing procedures, ensuring proper security measures.

* Maintain accurate inventory levels by stocking beverages, juices, and perishables.

* Process orders and manage the point-of-sale system, ensuring accountability for all beverages served.

* Assist with staff training and development to uphold high service standards.

* Engage with guests in a professional manner, promote hotel facilities, and address any concerns.

* Ensure bar cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations.

* Handle cash management, process deposits, and maintain a house bank.

* Administer promotional and incentive programs for guests and staff.

* Stay informed on industry trends, including emerging cocktail and beverage innovations.

* Research, develop, and present seasonal cocktail programs as well as weekly/monthly featured cocktails.

* Support and enforce all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED required.

* Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a food and beverage setting preferred.

* Strong knowledge of spirits, beer, and wine, with expertise in craft cocktails.

* Must possess or be willing to obtain a bartending license.

* Previous cash-handling experience required.

* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally manage guest interactions and resolve concerns.

* Must comply with all local, state, and federal alcohol service regulations.

* Availability to work 1st and 2nd shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
