This position is responsible for facilitating a wide array of strategic and operational projects in the Biomedical Services/Support lane. Projects are related to creating, implementing, and driving results through our group that manages all medical devices and medical device process across DaVita. The position will collect and deploy best practices to ensure the highest quality care and consistent experiences throughout DaVita clinics nationally. The role will also lead the execution of scalable quality and innovation projects and change initiatives that advance DaVita's multi-year biomedical goals. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Biomedical Services, located in Denver, CO. The Manager or Sr. Manager of Special Projects interfaces with diverse functional lanes has a high level of visibility with senior leadership given the strategic and collaborative nature of the work. Leveling will be in alignment with experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with internal partners (Operations, Risk, Clinical Support, IT, Field Biomed, etc.) and external vendors
  • Build relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders, internal and external
  • Drive improvement in medical device operational and quality processes throughout the Village
  • Create and edit impactful, succinct written communications
  • Lead not just through title but through influence, providing strategic guidance and effecting change outside of lane
  • Prepare executive-level presentations to share with all levels of leadership
  • Synthesize numerous analyses, translate into specific actions, and gain buy-in to execute
  • Challenge status quo operations to identify and implement transformative change

Required Skillsets

  • Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams
  • Technical background either working in medical device servicing or via degree program associated to engineering or technology
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; intermediate proficiency in Outlook required
  • Demonstrated ability to create, refine, and manage new business processes

Minimum Qualifications

  • Leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Strong business and organizational skills: Proficiency with identifying, defining and resolving problems; developing systemic solutions
  • Strong project planning skills, organizational skills, process improvement skills, ability to manage projects to meet specific deadlines
  • Ability to drive implementations and improvements proactively
  • Effective, positive written and oral communications skills. Ability to teach and to deliver concise and effective presentations to the GBD, DVP, and to Regional Operations Directors
  • Willingness and ability to work additional hours with little or no notice, beyond the regular work week as needed
  • Computer skills sufficient to effectively utilize the Web, Word and Excel
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of time

Salary/ Wage Range

$62,200.00-$91,300.00 / year
