JOB SUMMARY

Under limited guidance, prepares, records, verifies, analyzes and transactions (accounts payable, accounts receivable and/or general accounting) for goods and/or services on a timely basis in accordance with internal control policies. Administers disbursements, reconciles accounts and provides assistance in the monthly closing process. Assists in identifying and implementing process improvements and solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

May perform accounts payable, bill of material, and/or general accounting functions as defined below and as required from the business:

Accounts Payable



  • Performs accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions, which may include preparing invoices, routing for approval and issuing payments.
  • Identifies and resolves vendor issues, reconciles statements, confirms payments are processed timely, and ensures vendor information is up-to-date.
  • Performs daily banking activities related to stop payments and void issues.
  • Performs the reconciliation of Automated Clearing House (ACH) "auto pull" accounts for electronically transfer funds.
  • Headquarters only:
  • Performs disbursement processes, records payments, and ensures payments are properly authorized in accordance with Company policies.
  • Assists supervisor as needed in supporting the administration of the company's travel and expense management system and corporate credit card program.
  • Administers the corporate check disbursements process for multiple business units.



Bill of Material Maintenance



  • Create and update item codes in our ERP system, ensuring comprehensive and accurate details are captured for seamless inventory tracking and reporting.
  • Assist in analyzing BOM and inventory costing to identify and manage cost changes, supporting budget, pricing and cost control strategies
  • Regularly review and optimize item codes to support efficient data validation and production workflows.



General



  • Maintains and reconciles ledger accounts, financial statements and/or reports. Prepares, enters and posts adjusting journal entries as needed.
  • Ensures accuracy, researches discrepancies and follows up accordingly.
  • Assists in performing company audits. Prepares monthly and year end reports for spending analysis. Verifies transactions comply with established policies and procedures.
  • Recommends and implements approved changes to processes to improve efficiency or correct problems.
  • Provides assistance in the monthly closing process and quarterly/annual audits.
  • Ensures external and internal controls and policies are adhered to.
  • Provides assistance in other accounting functions and projects as needed.
  • May be responsible for a variety of administrative functions such as word processing, reporting and filing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
