Enbridge is actively seeking a Supervisor, Communications & Measurement. This dynamic person will be responsible for leading region communication and measurement technical staff in supporting overall operations throughout the Southeast region. Job duties will include overseeing the support of troubleshooting issues, responding to emergencies, supporting growth in our technicians and engineering staff, and ensuring their team is working with the goals of safe and reliable operations in mind.

What You Will Do:

The Supervisor of Communications and Measurement will work to fulfill the following accountabilities:

  • Be a leader in the tech staff supporting efforts across disciplines to act safely, improve reliability, and achieve success in the growth of our people and success of our company.

  • Provide leadership and direction to technical staff and field level operations to support troubleshooting of measurement and communications equipment and find solutions to issues as they develop.

  • Support the training and qualification programs for measurement technicians.

  • Lead efforts for cost estimating, budgeting, and obtaining clear scope definitions to obtain accurate cost estimates and project definitions for measurement and communications assets.

  • Support the execution of project scopes associated with measurement and communications assets.

  • Understand and make decisions around the implementation of processes, projects, or procedures that have direct impacts to the overall system and the area operations personnel.

  • Understand and apply Operating and Maintenance procedures to ensure safe and reliable operation within the Region.

  • Support the investigation of failures and reliability issues and develop solutions.

  • Represent Operations in supporting project teams and various stakeholders within the Company.

  • Support the development of O&M and Capital budgets to support ongoing operations.

  • Support the incorporation of O&M costs into project development scopes of work.

  • Provide support in emergency response situations and efforts.

Required:

  • Ten (10) years' experience in operations or engineering

  • Strong technical background with experience in natural gas measurement, controls, electrical engineering, communications and general operations.

  • Proficient in interpreting pipeline facility and construction drawings

  • Understanding of Natural Gas operations

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong communications skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of CFR 192 and other relevant codes

Working Conditions:
  • Office environment

  • Travel approximately 25% of the time.

  • Company paid international relocation is not offered for this role.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
