JOB TITLE: Consumer Lending Processor

REPORTS TO: Lending Manager/VP of Lending

FLSA: Non-Exempt

GRADE: 8

SUMMARY FUNCTION: Prepares and processes all consumer lending documents. Builds and maintains successful member relationships by funding and servicing loans to the member's complete satisfaction, while simultaneously ensuring that supporting documentation and records are accurately prepared according to Members Heritage Credit Union policies and procedures. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex information. The position also requires you to have the ability to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE: High School diploma or the equivalent, and a commensurate level of language, math and reasoning skills. Excellent computer skills and superior verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Some lending experience and knowledge is required to coordinate the total member loan experience. In addition, six months of Member Service Officer experience is preferred.

Time Major Duties and Responsibilities

60% E 1. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of consumer lending products, services and processes. Successfully and completely processes consumer loan and credit card application, consumer loan funding, all forms of loan maintenance and loan related transactions.

2. Accurately determines invoice and wholesale values for various types of collateral.

3. Handles inquiries and provides assistance to sales team on status of loan application. Follows up with key individuals immediately to resolve problems and/or respond to inquiries.

4. Prepares necessary forms/documentation and obtains required information.

5. Verifies the income of the borrower(s); verifies employment when required.

6. Reviews and interprets instructions and conditions from the Underwriter for closing.

7. Prepares and/or monitors closing documentation, disclosures, and disbursement of loans.

8. Prepares necessary notifications and forms for all denied consumer loan applications and documents loan denials.

9. Performs quality control on loan files to ensure all necessary paperwork, signature, fees and computer information is included and accurate.

10. Performs follow up on loan files to ensure titles are received in a timely manner.

30% E 1. Performs final audit and verifies that consumer lending documentation complies with rules and regulations.

6. Proactively find ways to support the lending department's goals and work collaboratively with co-workers.

5% E Actively work to ensure Credit Union compliance with OFAC, Bank Secrecy Act/ Anti-Money Laundering and U.S.A. Patriot Act by following all Credit Union policies and procedures and attending regular training as required.

5% N 1. Performs additional duties as directed by management.

May lift daily work boxes and coin bags up to approximately 50lbs, when necessary. When lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, use two or more people to lift the load.
