Job Summary This position provides leadership and daily direction to the SAP technical team including a senior professional and contractors; and act as a technical SAP subject matter expertise to support business operations and technology SAP project-based needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, day to day oversight, monitoring of compliance to departmental policies, and periodic performance evaluations. This position works closely with the SAP Sr. Managers as well as the SAP Functional Managers providing technical assistance to related projects, business cases and requests for enhancements. Ensures that their technical team handles project requests for new software solutions or support services in a timely and effective manner and assist functional SAP analyst and business areas with documenting their requirements and project requests. Support the development of proposals for projects based on guidelines and standards set by IT Management for internal projects. Discusses and agrees on projects and priorities with business areas and IT Management. Ensures project execution is on time and within budget, based on clearly defined and documented scope. This position makes sure their SAP technical team meets all SLA and support performance levels defined by IT Management in agreement with the business areas.

* Salary Range: $135,000-$160,000
* Position is eligible to participate in a bonus plan with a target of 10% of the base salary (include only if applicable to the grade level)

* Lead the SAP Development and PO/EDI team in North America providing overall direction to implement projects and ensure successful delivery.

* Responsible for reviewing and approving technical blueprint documents for SAP/ERP initiatives.

* Ensures that software development and change management policies are adhered to for project tasks and deliverables.

* Manages the escalation process for technical issues and deploys any necessary resources to resolve issues. This includes tracking of escalation issues, investigating root cause, determine corrective actions to prevent repetitive occurrence, and communication.

* Develop technical solutions in coordination with the SAP Functional team based on business needs.

* Establishes and maintains productive relationships with all levels in the IT organization, business areas, and external partners. Provides constant process and methodology improvement formulation and cross team mentoring.

* Research and lead SAP PO development.

* Implements and communicates the department's common methodologies to streamline processes, procedures, standards, policies and guidelines impacting multiple functions and evaluates effectiveness. Develops strategies to develop and communicate improvement plans.

* Supervises and mentors the Technical Analysts assigned to their team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business administration.
  • 8+ years of related experience. Advanced knowledge of SAP ECEC 6.0 & SAP S/4 Hana Systems with strong exposure in Cloud / On-premise connectivity models, BTP Integration suite
  • Must have hands-on working experience in SAP PO, BTP Integration suite with strong focus on EDI standards like x12.
  • Strong technical SAP working knowledge with proven ability to lead a team to identify technological alternatives, reach sound conclusions, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Experience as a project leadership with the SDLC (Software/Systems Development Life Cycle) process.
  • In-depth technical understanding SAP ABAP coding and systems integration across modules, as well as SAP PO
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent communicator: ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with people at all levels in the organization, both inside and outside of technology
  • Organized and able to meet established schedules and deadlines through strong time and stress management skills.
  • Ability to interface with all personnel and to relate system capabilities to business issues.
  • Excellent relationship management skills. Can work effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Able to lead in a team environment by persuading and proactively influencing strategic decision making and direction.
  • Ability to manage conflict situations to effective resolution.
  • Ability to translate technical information into easily understood information.
  • May require to travel within the US as well as internationally
