The targeted hiring range for this full-time position is $53,200 - $71,800 depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand. Job Description

The Email Marketing Specialist supports Red Wing Shoe Company's digital marketing strategy by executing and optimizing email marketing campaigns across multiple brands. This role ensures the successful deployment of email campaigns, assists in automation and segmentation improvements, and provides performance insights that help refine our email marketing approach. Working under the direction of the Email Marketing Manager, the specialist plays a key role in campaign execution and process efficiency while maintaining email best practices and compliance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute and optimize marketing emails for all Red Wing brands using our Email Service Provider (ESP), ensuring proper setup, testing, and scheduling.
  • Assist in refining segmentation and personalization strategies, leveraging customer data to enhance campaign effectiveness under the guidance of the Email Marketing Manager.
  • Support the development and implementation of automated email workflows to improve customer engagement and retention.
  • Conduct A/B testing initiatives and analyze results to provide actionable insights that inform campaign optimizations.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend process improvements for better execution and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain email reporting dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance updates.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and evolving email marketing best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with the Email Marketing Manager and internal teams to align email efforts with broader business objectives.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices, sharing insights with the team to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2-4 years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, or a related role.
  • Experience working with an ESP (Acoustic, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, or similar).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for email formatting is a plus.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to execute email marketing campaigns with high attention to detail and process accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess campaign effectiveness and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Experience in segmentation, automation, and personalization within an established strategy.
  • Proficiency in A/B testing and performance analysis to support marketing optimizations.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other email compliance regulations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Hybrid work environment (mix of remote and onsite work at Red Wing, MN headquarters).
  • Limited travel (less than 10%) for team meetings, training, or industry events.
