Position Description:

The Administrative Rehabilitation Director will be responsible for the rehabilitation services product line at PRMC including the acute rehabilitation unit, outpatient therapy, and the expansion of post-acute programming in the Antelope Valley. The position will oversee daily operations of the PRMC Acute Rehabilitation Unit, a comprehensive 27-bed inpatient distinct part unit that provides acute rehabilitation services to individuals with neurological and/or musculoskeletal conditions. This position will be responsible for the strategic planning and implementation related to the rehabilitation service's programs, referral development, volume growth, quality patient care outcomes, regulatory compliance, and fiscal accountability. This position will serve as an integral part of PRMC's leadership team; collaborating with other professional disciplines to assure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired outcomes.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Collaborates with Administration in identifying program development needs which would meet community demands and add financial opportunity to the hospital
  • Works with Marketing Director and Director of Business Development in promoting program to physician and patient communities.
  • Submits all necessary information regarding the budget process to CEO and/or CFO.
  • Participates in interpretation and implementation of hospital /departmental policies and procedures. Develops and maintains unit specific policies and procedures to be survey ready at all times.

Qualifications

Job Duties/Responsibilities Requirements:

  • A minimum of seven (7) years' clinical and/or rehabilitation experience.
  • At least three (3) years' management/program development required.
  • Clinical background in physical medicine and rehabilitation within an acute care setting required.
  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year accredited college required.
  • Master's Degree in healthcare related field or clinical discipline (i.e., Nursing or Healthcare Management) background as a licensed Physical, Occupational, or Speech Language Therapist is strongly preferred.
  • Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse required for Registered Nurse.
  • CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
