Job Summary

As a Senior Data Scientist you will leverage your extensive experience in SQL and Python to drive data-driven decision-making processes. You will work in a hybrid model ensuring flexibility and collaboration. Your role will involve analyzing complex data sets developing predictive models and providing actionable insights to support business objectives. This position does not require travel.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the analysis of large and complex data sets to identify trends and patterns that can inform business strategies.
  • Develop and implement predictive models using SQL and Python to support various business functions.
  • Experience in forecasting for Field Work Force
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that meet those requirements.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of data collection processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Conduct thorough data validation and cleansing to maintain high standards of data accuracy.
  • Utilize advanced statistical techniques to analyze data and generate meaningful insights.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of data analysis processes and methodologies.
  • Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in data science to continuously improve processes.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists to foster their professional growth and development.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies in all data-related activities.
  • Drive innovation by exploring new data sources and analytical techniques to enhance decision-making capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Possess extensive experience in SQL and Python showing strength in data manipulation and analysis.
  • Have a strong background in statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
  • Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Show proficiency in data visualization tools to optimally communicate insights.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Have a solid understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • Display a proactive approach to learning and staying updated with industry trends.
  • Hold a degree in a relevant field such as Data Science Computer Science or Statistics.
  • Experience in a hybrid work environment is preferred.
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior team members effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record of delivering actionable insights that drive business outcomes.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of data quality and integrity.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $140,000 - $ 150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
